This move underscores Porsche's commitment to innovation and sustainability, offering consumers high-performance hybrids that do not compromise on luxury or driving experience.

Porsche's New E-Hybrid Powerhouses

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Panamera 4S E-Hybrid emerge as the latest powerhouses in Porsche's esteemed lineup, each boasting unique features and advancements in hybrid technology.

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is designed to offer an efficient and capable driving experience, combining a new hybrid system with a significantly revamped 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. Both models showcase Porsche's dedication to optimizing hybrid performance. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid's powertrain produces an overall system power of 346 kW (463 hp) and a maximum torque of 479 lb.-ft., enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid elevates performance further with an overall system power of 400 kW (536 hp) and a maximum torque of 553 lb.-ft., achieving 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.5 seconds. These figures not only highlight the efficiency of Porsche's hybrid systems but also their capability to deliver exhilarating performance.

Enhanced Charging and Battery Capacity

Innovation extends to the charging and battery technology of these new E-Hybrid models. Both variants feature a new high-voltage battery with a 45 percent increase in capacity, offering 25.9 kWh without requiring additional space. This enhancement, coupled with an 11-kW On-Board AC charger, reduces charging times to as little as two and a half hours under ideal conditions. This leap in charging efficiency ensures that even during periods of Porsche hibernation, your vehicle is quickly ready for the next exhilarating drive.

The integration of a completely new electric motor, which is more powerful than its predecessor and efficiently placed within the housing of the PDK transmission, contributes to improved throttle response and a more dynamic driving experience. The significant increase in battery capacity and the advancements in charging technology underscore Porsche's commitment to user convenience and the broader adoption of hybrid vehicles.

The introduction of the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Panamera 4S E-Hybrid models represents a pivotal moment in Porsche's ongoing journey towards electrification. By expanding its E-Hybrid lineup, Porsche not only caters to the increasing market demand for sustainable luxury vehicles but also reinforces its reputation as a leader in automotive innovation.

These new models, with their optimized powertrains, enhanced charging capabilities, and advanced battery technology, set new standards for performance hybrids, offering drivers the best of both worlds: unmatched efficiency and the exhilarating driving experience synonymous with the Porsche brand.

Porsche's new Panamera E-Hybrid models are engineered to deliver an unparalleled driving experience, thanks to their innovative driving dynamics and E-Hybrid-specific modes. The vehicles feature four optimized driving modes tailored to the E-Hybrid system: E-Power, Hybrid Auto, E-Hold, and E-Charge, alongside the enhanced Sport and Sport Plus modes.

Starting in the fully electric E-Power mode for silent, zero-emission driving, the system seamlessly transitions to Hybrid Auto mode for optimal powertrain efficiency based on the driving situation. E-Hold and E-Charge modes allow drivers to preserve or increase the battery's charge level, respectively, ensuring electric power is available when needed. The integration of Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with adaptive two-chamber air suspension ensures a dynamic yet comfortable ride, adapting to road conditions and driving style in real time. This advanced hybrid technology paves the way for the eagerly anticipated Porsche 911 Hybrid, setting new standards in performance and efficiency.

Design and Equipment Upgrades

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid models boast a fresh, athletic design, characterized by newly shaped LED Matrix Design headlights and a continuous taillight that accentuates the sporty silhouette. The exterior design is complemented by enhanced standard equipment, including Lane Change Assist, rear cross-traffic alert, soft-close doors, 14-way comfort seats, and steering wheel heating.

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid features 19-inch wheels and black brake calipers, while the 4S E-Hybrid is set apart with 20-inch Panamera AeroDesign wheels, silver sports tailpipes, and red brake calipers, with an option for acid green. These design and equipment upgrades underscore Porsche's commitment to luxury and performance.

Market Launch and Pricing

The Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is priced at a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $117,495, and the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid at $128,795, excluding tax, title, registration, dealer charges, or delivery fees. Both models are slated for order by the end of March, with expected arrival at U.S. dealers in Fall 2024.
